'Golden' by Huntrix Went Up to the Top
Kpop demon huntrix went to the highest top of the Billboard Hot 100! Updated on August 6, 2025.
The inspirational pop track from the film "KPop Demon Hunters" titled "Golden" went up up up and placed the no. 1 spot on billboard hot 100.
The song "Golden" was about telling a story of the past struggles, personal growth, and self discovery of an individual. It also reflects on the feelings of the members Rumi, Zoe, and Mira, on feeling lost, misunderstood, and hiding their true selves, but after a while they had the courage to start embracing their identity and gained strength as a team.
Ejae, a singer-songwriter, before, now told BBC Newsbeat that the team had known Golden would be a "banger" — surprisingly, the songs' huge success was still a shock. Ejae commented and said "It's like I'm surfing for the first time and a big wave just came through".
The song is performed by the singing voice cast of the movie which are K-Pop singer-songwriter EJAE sings as Rumi, American R&B singer Audrey Nuna sings as Mira, and Korean-American singer REI AMI sings as Zoey.
