The setting once set again to United Kingdom though it's looks far from London, but it's not the London we saw in the earlier films, the landscapes here shows us landscape shaped by collapse, and survival some parts turns into ruins and battle ground. Each place tells a story how the people struggle in desperation and loss.
But why now? Why bringing the Rage virus back after so many years? Because the story was never truly ended in 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Left. The question that still wandering around: Can humanity after the near-total destruction can trust survive in a broken world?
