Fair weather on Sunday
The Philippines on sunday will experience generally fair weather as Typhoon known as Opong is now in the vicinity of Vietnam, said by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Opong is now located 1,075 km. west of Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 120 km. per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 150 kph.
Obet Badrina, the PAGASA weather specialist said Opong is now does not affect the country, except for the southwest monsoon (habagat) along the offshore of Palawan.
As no clustered clouds has been monitored in the next three days for potential low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Badrina said that fair weather is anticipated to overcome.
In Metro Manila and the other parts of the country, expect a partly cloudy to cloudy skies in with occasional rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies.
