Fair weather on Sunday

       The Philippines on sunday will experience generally fair weather as Typhoon known as Opong is now in the vicinity of Vietnam, said by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

       In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Opong is now located 1,075 km. west of Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 120 km. per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 150 kph.

       Obet Badrina, the PAGASA weather specialist said Opong is now does not affect the country, except for the southwest monsoon (habagat) along the offshore of Palawan.

       As no clustered clouds has been monitored in the next three days for potential low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Badrina said that fair weather is anticipated to overcome.

       In Metro Manila and the other parts of the country, expect a partly cloudy to cloudy skies in with occasional rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies.

       A pop-punk band are back again! And now they’re giving fans a fresh and nostalgic masterpiece entitled Butterflies by All Time Low. This song was part of their upcoming album named “Everyone's talking!", set to release on October 17, 2025. Butterflies was released on September 19, 2025 as a one of components of their 4-track EP.

       The song is classified under the alternative genre or what we called alt, highlighting the band's signature sound. The lyrics is about coping mechanisms, self-realization and dynamics of relationship, just like the line mentioned “catching butterflies that ain't worth chasin”. The music video reached 2.5k view on Youtube within an hour. On the music video we can clearly hear the high energy and upbeat melody of the song that might awaken feelings of nostalgia and encourage the thought of recollection in our lives. The sketch he tried to imitate was Discaya's recent senate hearing, with a witty twists on the contractor's luxurious lifestyle and alleged involvement on the flood control ghost project. It was aired on September 14, 2025. The sketch provided a pet name for the comedian as "Ciala Dismaya" the Ciala is "Shala" in slang words, it refers to the luxurious lifestyle of the Contractor. This sketch is like a wake up call for their target audience, that the money which is worth multi-billion for the betterment of the country was lead into disappointment because of the widespread that the contractor's we're taking in the money. Dismaya’s outfit was similar to Discaya’s white blazer over her gray plaid dress which she wore during her first appearance at the Senate blue ribbon committee hearing. Her overall look was perfectly done, with her chin-length wig and unmistakeable mole under her nose. Set in the suburbs of Pennsylvania 1986. ‎ ‎The movie called “Last Rites” is part of the same universe as “The Nun” and “Annabelle.” It has a pretty decent ending. It was a personal story about the Warrens and their daughter, Judy, with a new paranormal problem that makes a family freak out. It ends on a hopeful note love and family, and even a wedding But before that, demons creepy noises. ‎ ‎ The writers David Leslie Johnson McGoldrick, along with Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing worked with director, Michael Chaves to create what the series is known for. A Sweet family filled with laughter combined with bloody surprises. ‎ ‎ This time the an evil item is a big wooden mirror with carvings of three kids. It’s given as a gift during a girl’s confirmation. And surprise, it’s haunted. The mirror causes family members to float, yanks phone cords, and make dolls even more terrifying. ‎ ‎The movie is set in the 1980s, it’s filled with music from that time. Howard Jones and David Bowie, the Cult and even some jokes about the Ghostbusters movie. You also see big shoulder pads, clip-on ties and huge glasses, just like in that era. ‎ ‎ The story starts in 1964, with a young Ed and Lorraine Warren investigating that haunted mirror. But then Lorraine, who’s pregnant, goes to labor when her water breaks, and their daughter Judy is born. ‎ ‎Fast forward to the 1980s, and Ed and Lorraine had decided to stop ghost-hunting. Since Ed seemed to have suffered from a heart attack. Their daughter Judy, played by Mia Tomlinson, seemed to have inherited her parent’s gift of sensing evil. She even has a boyfriend, but Ed warns him, “Our family is not like other families.” ‎ ‎ This gives the movie a chance to make a wedding dress shopping scene pretty spooky, and maybe a little blood in the sink too. The series had always taken ordinary things and made them terrifying, ‎ but maybe it’s gone a bit too far now, especially with that possessed waterbed last time. ‎ ‎Earlier a character’s death, seemed to have connected the Warrens to the family with the haunted mirror. Ed says ominously, “It found us.” ‎ ‎There’s too much reliance on thunderstorms, quick flashes of monsters grinning, and a slow build to the big battle. That drags in parts, how many music boxes do we really need to watch turn...? And Ed Warren with all his experience, probably should know the right prayers to banish demons by now. ‎ ‎Still, you can’t help but give Ed and Lorraine Warren credit. When so many horror movies now focus on politics, race, or over-the-top violence, they’ve always loved the simple creepy stuff, creaking floors,ticking clocks and shadows in the dark. It’s time to say goodbye but also to celebrate this husband and wife team and their haunted basement.

Nepal youths have been awakened 

Prime minister KP Sharma Oli in Nepal has resigned cause of the public fury over killing the 22 people in the clashes of police with the anti-corruption protesters. Close to 200 people are injured in clashes with police, who used tear gas, water cannons and live bullets as protesters scaled the walls of the parliament and other official buildings, September 9.

The office said he had stepped down to give peace to the youth-led protesters over the many complaints on corruptions. 

On Monday the 'Gen Z', that's what they call themselves, became violent not just because of corruption but also because of the social media that is being banned. They've used placards and banners and brought it with themselves on the streets of Kathmandu.

Moreover, the protesters continued on Tuesday, with demonstrators setting fire to the parliament building, the headquarters of the Nepali Congress Party and the home of former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. The protesters didn't stop with that, instead, they also vandalised the homes of several other politicians.

Blood Moon '25: Total Lunar Eclipse Dazzle Philippine Skies

Moon lover's heads up a rare blood moon is rising! This September 7-8, a total lunar eclipse will turn the moon deep red for 82 minutes - the longest lunar eclipse since 2022. The 'Blood Moon' will grace the night sky, turning a stunning red due to Rayleigh scattering.

The Moon will be totally eclipsed for approximately one hour, 22 minutes, and 54 seconds in Manila and other parts of the country, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa said the penumbral phase will begin at 11:27 p.m. on Sept. 7, followed by the partial lunar eclipse phase that will start after 12:27 midnight.The partial lunar eclipse phase will last until 2:53 a.m., and the penumbral phase will conclude at 3:57 a.m. The Moon will then exit the penumbral shadow at 4:57 a.m.

The total lunar eclipse will also be completely visible across East Africa, Asia, and Australia. During the maximum eclipse, the umbral shadow cast by the Earth will obscure 100 percent of the Moon’s disk. The phenomenon is commonly referred to as a “blood moon” due to the reddish hue the Moon adopts.This occurs because Earth’s atmosphere filters and scatters sunlight, allowing only the red wavelengths to reach and illuminate the lunar surface.

P-pop’s Newest Boy Group WRIVE Finally Makes Its Debut

The group containing five members are so ready to reach their dreams.

‎WRIVE has their double-title debut offering, “Ooh La La” and “Señorita,”. A Sign of being the ABS-CBN newest Filipino boy group.

Members like Asi, Drei, Ishiro, Mathew, and Russu, has signed under ABS-CBN’s talent management, Polaris-Star Magic and premier record label Star Music. All the members are part of a survival show “Dream Maker” in 2022.

WRIVE, also pronounced as ‘rayv’, is obtained by the wording "we have arrived" which symbolizes the solidarity of the members for their dreams.

The track ‎"Ooh la la" means the want of escaping reality with someone you love. It also aims to win the heart of the person you truly hope for. Produced by the ABS-CBN, and was composed by ALAS and Jeremy G.

“Ooh La La's ” music video will be premiered on Thursday (July 17), 8pm on ABS-CBN Star Music YouTube channel.

There are two songs that will be released later this year. It will be a huge part of the P-pop groups debut album, and the boy group will also have a special performance in the upcoming Star Magic All-Star Games 2025 in Araneta Coliseum this July 20 (Sunday).

EXHIBITING THE HISTORICAL SIEGE OF PANAY

Pan-ayanons unveiled the Siege of Panay on January 14, 2025. It was located on the bridge along Calle Revolucion. Considered as the second oldest street in the Philippines.

The Siege of Panay is a notable event in the history of Capisnons where the Ati, Panay Bukidnon and the Agraviados fought as part of the Katipunan; led by Gen. Esteban Contreras, Gen. Juan Arce and Gen. Macario Lucso. Around 4,000 Katipuneros battled against the Spanish forces of a thousand led by. Gen. Diego de los Rios. That battle was most horrific battle in Visayas during the 1898 Philippine Revolucion. During the battle, 171 capisnon was killed for defending the panay from 1, 000 Spanish colonial forces.

This project aims to show to the Pan-ayanons and capisnon that this heritage is important to preserve the history behind the "Siege of Panay". Also, to give information to the Pan-ayanons on how the heroes of capisnon fought for this Siege, and to honor the people who fought for the "siege of panay".

Project Mohon was collaborated project with Capisnon historian Dr. Vicente C. Villan whose rigorous and long-established research in Capiz history served as the project's guiding principles. Dr. Villan also authored the marker texts with the assistance of Mr. Erwin Bonifacio. The project further progressed through the help of the Capiz Provincial Engineer's Office, United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) - Capiz Chapter and the Capiz Provincial Culture and Arts Council.
